I Spy....

Happy Valentine’s Day! This morning (at 5:30am) Willy sprinted up to the lookout we went to yesterday, and took a video of the sunrise so I could see it and added a Valentine’s message. We made a big move to the other side of the island today, only 20km away. We met some people who had told us about a bunch of walks they had done over the past couple of days, so we decided to do ALL of them in one day. It was incredibly hot today, and we had started our journey at 1pm.
He looked thirsty!
We set off from Horseshoe Bay and spent the next 4.5 hours walking up, down and around most of the bays and lookouts (Balding, Radical, Florence & Arthur). We headed up to a historic WWII Fort Site and tried to spot some Koalas along the way. Unfortunately, they are a lot harder to spot in the wild (compared to the Koala Sanctuary) so we didn’t see any. Maybe we were too focused on finding a water tap that we missed them – so thirsty by this point! After 14km of walking, and many ice cream cravings later we walked straight to a pub for some calamari and sex on the beach (the drink!), and of course ice cream. Maybe we’ll spot a koala tonight because we’re camping at the Bungalow Bay YHA Koala Village.
